The South African Society For Labour Law (SASLAW)

Futcher & Poppesqou Attorneys is a member of SASLAW, a members association and non-profit organisation for those involved in all aspects of Labour Law in South Africa. The aim of the Society is to promote the advancement of labour law as a legal and academic discipline, and encourage collaboration between lawyers and other experts within the field of labour law.

SASLAW has over 1200 members in South Africa. Membership is made up of judges, advocates, attorneys, candidate attorneys, HR and IR management, government officials, CCMA commissioners, and employers’ organisations. SASLAW has chapters in Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal, Western Cape, Eastern Cape and the Free State, and Tarryn Poppesqou is a Committee Member of the KwaZulu-Natal Chapter.

Pro bono

Futcher & Poppesqou Attorneys is amongst the various Firms of Attorneys and Corporations offering on-site assistance and relief in respect of the on-going Pro-Bono Project offered by the Labour Court KwaZulu-Natal.

As a member of SASLAW, Futcher & Poppesqou Attorneys is committed to the Pro-Bono Project run by and is similarly associated with the Law Clinic at UKZN in developing skills to benefit the less privileged.
